Hello everyone.
I have a T1000 and I think the power supply is wrong. If someone has the schematic, it would be of great help.
Also if someone tells me how to release the source, since I removed three screws, but I don't know how to remove the cable from the voltage outlets. thank you.
Mostly the power supply is not the problem alone. More likely are faulty Tantalium capacitors all over all boards of the machine. Mainly the 10uF have to be changed ALL. Mostly that solves the problem. Also some 4.7uF on the printer control board.

Hello,
today I managed to disassemble the filter and the power supply, the filter looks like a big surge and pasty liquid, very green pasty.
The source looked at her for a while. It has been difficult for me to remove it,
I don't know if the filter will be necessary, it is somewhat charred, the varistors, etc.,
I don't know if it has affected the power supply and the teletype.
I don't know where to find a diagram of the power supply, of the T1000
Okay, so the green goop is from the filter, normally this leaks onto the main board - you might need to spend some time cleaning this.
Power supply schematics are a little bit more difficult, you need to become an "Approved Member", this means active in the forum, a lot of the technical information has been collected here by members over decades of collecting, and is in a special section of the forum - I am sure you will have access there soon.
Please post some pictures in this thread, and we will all help you get your T1000 running again.
Kind Regards
Sean

many thanks to M1ECY and DF3OE
Thank you, when I am an approved member, I will no longer need it..., my teletype opens burned, for not having information.
Here I send some photos of the filter and source, the filter is only bad in the varistor, I have looked at the source today and it seems to be fine, although the voltages are a bit high.

Yes, this is normal T1000 failure, though the Varistor failure is not normally reported.
I think you already know enough about the mains filter components to be able to repair, though I would suggest 270V for the power varistor might be a bit low - maybe upgrade to 300 or 320V (220Vx1.414 = 311V)
So, hopefully soon you will be able to have the machine running.
Regards
Sean

Hi Sean.
thanks for your answers.
I still don't have any information, nor how to start it, without having the connector connected to any site.
Today I have studied the SST protective plate that is together with the FE and SB.
Only wires 1-2-3-4 of the connector are connected.
Some people suggest connecting lines 1 and 4 and bridging 2-3 and 5-6.
But if 5 and 6 are not connected anywhere, at least in my ADo8.
I don't know how to manage the 60 volts / 20 mA.
I don't know what tests I have to do, when I put voltage on it, the only thing I understood is to change the tantalum capacitors, which seem electrolytic, rather than tantalum.
How do people connect the teletype to the internet, either for TX or RX, how do people connect the ADo8, to receive a shortwave RTTY. I have a RTTY AFSK demodulator, but I only have 5 and 0 volts, how do I put this into the teletype?
The capacitors are solid tantalum tubular design - they look like electrolytic, but really are not.
If you can get me the card number, I will check documentation to see what connections are actually used (if there is a schematic for the LAT card - we do not have all of them.
You need to study about the loop current - if you plan to use for RTTY then perhaps look at the British ST5 RTTY converter - this is double current, but with a +/-80v 20ma loop.
For connecting to I-Telex, or internet linking, then Henning and Fred have a Double Current interface card for the I-Telex system - connecting to this is simple.
There is also Pi-Telex, this is very much a build it yourself system, and I am unsure if Double Current systems are designed for it yet.
For local operation of the T1000 you should not need the ADO connected. I will speak with Werner to see if we can get you a copy of the T1000 operating manual.
